Winning in a Brutal Job Market is a free two-day employability workshop designed to help young people aged 16-24 who are currently not in education, employment or training (NEET) build the skills, confidence and tools needed to secure opportunities in today’s competitive job market.

Hosted by The CareerGuard in partnership with the University of Roehampton, this interactive programme combines practical career development, personal branding and job search strategies to help participants stand out to employers.

What Participants Will Learn

  • How to identify and communicate their skills and strengths
  • How to create a professional digital CV that stands out
  • Effective job search and application techniques
  • Interview preparation and confidence-building strategies
  • Personal branding and online presence
  • How to use technology and AI tools to support career development

Eligibility: Young people aged 16-24 who are currently not in work, education or training (NEET). PS. You do not need to be a University of Roehampton student to attend!

Spaces are limited and early registration is encouraged. Join us for two days of practical learning, networking and career development designed to help you take your next step with confidence.

Where to go

Both days take place in the Sir David Bell Building on the main campus. It sits just to the left of the Library, which is the first building you’ll see as you come through the main entrance (the one lower down the hill, not the Digby Stuart entrance).
