Summary

We are seeking a dynamic People & Culture Administrator to support our People & Culture team and to help foster a positive workplace culture. This pivotal role is based in Newry and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our company’s ongoing growth and success.

Responsibilities

Core HR Administration and Processes:

  • Support the end-to-end recruitment and selection process, including advertising vacancies, coordinating interviews, preparing documentation, and ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Coordinate onboarding and induction activities for new employees, ensuring all pre-employment checks and documentation are completed.
  • Manage administrative processes throughout the employee lifecycle, including contract administration, probation reviews, employee changes, and leavers.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, ensuring compliance with GDPR and company standards.
  • Produce routine HR reports, metrics, and management information as required.

Employee Relations & Wellbeing

  • Provide first-line administrative support on People & Culture matters, escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Support employee engagement, wellbeing, recognition, and culture initiatives across the business.
  • Assist with employee communications and People & Culture campaigns.

Learning & Development

  • Coordinate training activities, maintaining accurate training records and schedules.
  • Support the administration of learning and development programmes, apprenticeships, graduate development initiatives, and compliance training.
  • Monitor training completion rates and provide updates to managers where required.

HR Compliance & Best Practice

Support compliance with employment legislation and HR best practice across Northern Ireland, the UK and Republic of Ireland.

  • Assist in the administration and implementation of company policies and procedures.
  • Support HR audits and ensure employee documentation is maintained accurately and confidentially.

Systems & Continuous Improvement

  • Act as a key user for HR systems, maintaining data accuracy and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
  • Support the People & Culture team in reviewing and improving HR processes, documentation, and employee experience initiatives.

Projects & Professional Development

  • Participate in People & Culture projects aligned to the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Actively pursue professional development, including CIPD studies and ongoing HR training.
  • Undertake any other duties reasonably requested by the Head of People & Culture.

Essential Qualifications:

  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • Minimum one year’s experience in an HR administrative or HR operations role
  • Ability to work on own intiative
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to undertake training

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Degree in Human Resources Management or a related discipline
  • CIPD Level three qualification (or currently working towards)
