The Role
We are looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Maintenance Supervisor with a strong horticultural background to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical horticulture as much as leading people. You will supervise a small team, organise daily maintenance programmes and ensure our sites are maintained to the highest standards throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a small grounds maintenance team.
- Plan and organise daily work schedules.
- Carry out and supervise grass cutting, hedge maintenance, pruning and general grounds maintenance.
- Apply sound horticultural knowledge to the care of trees, shrubs, herbaceous planting and seasonal displays.
- Identify plant health issues, pests, diseases and maintenance requirements.
- Maintain excellent presentation standards across all sites.
- Monitor work quality and ensure client expectations are consistently achieved.
- Operate and maintain grounds maintenance machinery and equipment.
- Ensure vehicles, tools and equipment are maintained in good working order.
- Promote safe working practices and comply with health and safety procedures.
- Report site issues and provide regular updates to management.
About You
You will have a genuine passion for horticulture and enjoy delivering high-quality maintenance work.
Ideally you will have:
- A recognised horticultural qualification such as RHS Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Horticulture, or equivalent.
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance or estate maintenance.
- Experience leading or supervising a small team is desirable.
- Good plant identification and pruning knowledge.
- An understanding of seasonal horticultural practices.
- Experience using professional grounds maintenance equipment.
- A valid CSCS card.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- A positive attitude with strong attention to detail.
