An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Purchasing and Supply Chain Department on a full time, permanent basis.

In this role, you will co-ordinate and carry out day-to-day operations within the Purchasing and Supply Chain team to ensure that stock, logistics and supply chain activities are managed effectively to meet customer demand and enable On Time In Full (OTIF) supply. The role will also support wider Supply Chain activities, including customs and logistics administration and providing operational cover across the department to support business continuity and team resilience.

Key Accountabilities

o To accurately place supplier purchase orders, stock transfers and logistics in line with supplier lead times. To follow through to completion including expediting all types of orders to ensure On Time In Full (OTIF) delivery.

o To analyse and action internal reports such as hotspots (depot stocks and demand) to identify stock issues within operations and the depot network.

o To work effectively with team members, internal and external stakeholders to enable the smooth transaction and achievement of Company and Departmental goals and objectives.

o To manage and monitor product stock levels and availability within operations and the depot network, including ordering from suppliers and maintaining stock levels to meet demand where approved to do so.

o To liaise and organise the movement of goods nationally and internationally in line with Company requirements with approved and compliant haulier and logistics partners.

o To regularly liaise with the Supply Chain Planner and Supply Chain Manager to ensure administrative and operational tasks are carried through to completion in a timely manner.

o To work with the Routing team through completion of the withheld orders report, communicating any stock issues in a timely manner.

o To deal with depot requests through the shared inbox and communicate any issues and respond and/ or complete actions where appropriate.

o Maintain good system and operational housekeeping processes, including ERP and associated system transactions, to maximise efficiency and visibility to the organisation.

o Support customs administration activities as required, including the preparation, checking and maintenance of documentation relating to imports, exports and movements of goods, ensuring compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

o Support cross-functional workload balancing across the Purchasing and Supply Chain Department, undertaking delegated responsibilities within capability and training levels to minimise operational risk and maintain service levels during periods of absence, peak demand or business disruption.

Key Attributes

o A degree relevant to supply chain practices or alternatively some experience working within a supply chain environment

o Systems and PC literacy in Excel and Word.

o Familiar with Supply Chain, Logistics and Purchasing processes.

o Ability to be both cost and customer focused.

o Excellent customer service skills and accurate administration ability.

o Time management and organisational skills.

o Strong attention to detail.

o Ability to communicate at all levels both verbally and in writing.

o Flexible approach with ability to prioritise multiple tasks and a willingness to learn and provide operational support across a range of Supply Chain activities.

o Knowledge or experience of customs, import/export administration or freight documentation (desirable).
